Senior Product Manager (Lighting Fixtures) - Pico Rivera, CA
About the role
Feit Electric has been a leading global lighting brand for over 45 years. As the Senior Product Manager for the Feit Fixture Business Unit, you will own the full product lifecycle for a portfolio spanning multiple product categories, including commercial and utility lighting and a growing indoor and outdoor decorative category. You will work closely with the Business Unit Leader, our engineering and operations teams, and key retail buyers to build category strategies that win at shelf and drive business performance.
Responsibilities
Own Category Strategy & Portfolio
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management for your fixture categories, from concept through commercialization and end-of-life.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with channel strategies across major North American retail channels.
- Define SKU architecture, tiering, and Good/Better/Best structure across product lines.
- Identify assortment gaps and growth opportunities through competitive market analysis and retail channel reviews.
- Conduct SKU rationalization and manage EOL transitions to maintain a healthy, profitable portfolio.
Drive Retail & Sales Success
- Prepare and present line review materials, business reviews, and new item sell-in presentations to retail buyers and internal leadership.
- Drive packaging development, planogram strategy, and in-store presentation standards across DIY, mass merchant, membership club, and hardware channels.
- Partner with the Sales team weekly to ensure alignment on product positioning, pipeline status, and go-to-market timing.
Manage Product Financials
- Own product P&L for your categories, including new item margin analysis, cost-down initiatives, and ongoing portfolio profitability tracking.
- Build pricing strategy and promotional planning by channel, in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
- Maintain regular communication with the Engineering team to keep all active projects on schedule and aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee sample preparation, test samples, and packaging development milestones.
- Proof and approve packaging copy and instruction sheets prior to production.
Generate Insights & Innovate
- Conduct regular store visits to observe product placement and gather competitive insights.
- Perform online research covering competitor activity, technology trends, import data, customer reviews, and customer service feedback.
- Analyze call logs and online reviews to identify recurring pain points and recommend product improvements.
- Engage with end users to validate unmet needs and concept directions.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- 8+ years of product management experience with a proven track record in lighting, consumer electronics, home improvement, or equivalent hardware categories.
Category Expertise:
- Familiarity with light fixture product categories is a strong plus.
Retail Knowledge:
- Demonstrated experience managing products through major home improvement and mass retail channels (Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, Costco, Menards, etc.).
Financial Acumen:
- Proven P&L ownership, pricing strategy, and margin management skills.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Communication:
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

Pay
Salary Range $150,000.00 to $170,000.00 base salary (exempt). This role is eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on candidate qualifications, experience, and market conditions.
Schedule
This position is based onsite Monday through Friday at either our Chicago, IL or Los Angeles, CA office. Occasional domestic travel is required for customer meetings and store visits.
