Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled results-oriented product leader to join our team as a Senior Product Manager on our Data Compass team, leading Data Marketplace.

About the Role

Data Compass is the heart of GEICO’s data ecosystem. Housed within the Data & ML team, Data Compass delivers exceptional experiences that enable users to quickly and intuitively discover trusted data and data products they can use with confidence. Data Marketplace is a new enterprise-wide product available through Data Compass that will list all available data products and enable users to create, select, provision, and analyze data in secure, purpose-specific containers. The system will incorporate privacy assessment workflows, AI-powered recommendations, and collaborative features to maximize value and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with users and stakeholders to deeply understand their needs, pain points, and workflows.
  • Develop and execute a product vision that aligns with business goals, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that prioritizes features and capabilities based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Write clear product requirements, providing context about the intended users, problems being solved, hypothesis (about value to be delivered), current versus new process/workflows.
  • Define clear acceptance criteria for features.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and program management, to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Balance customer values, technical complexity, and business impact when making product decisions.
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executives, customers, and team members.
  • Manage and own business goals through measurable outcomes such as feature adoption, engagement, churn reduction, or revenue growth.
  • Use data and metrics to inform product decisions, measure progress, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of latest developments in Data Governance to regularly reassess your products and services, repositioning them as necessary.
  • Contribute to product culture and best practices within the team or organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of delivering successful products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver business impact.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage complex backlogs.
  • Technical and AI literacy.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in business or a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to influence, drive product vision and strategy.
  • Strong business acumen to prioritize features and capabilities based on customer value and business impact.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Data Governance tools and platforms.
  • Experience/experimenting with building AI products.

Pay

Annual Salary: $146,575.00 - $229,600.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
