About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep, first-hand experience in the investment research process to own how AlphaSense’s intelligence is presented across our curated experiences in an AI-first world. As a domain expert first and foremost, your value lies in approximately 5 years of experience at a top-tier Hedge Fund, where you’ve lived the workflows from thesis generation to deep due diligence and understand the friction points that exist today. In this role, you will own the curated experiences where our content meets the user—company profiles, industry profiles, monitoring, and future product surfaces—and be accountable for the quality and credibility of what our customers see. You will leverage your domain expertise to define these experiences, ensuring they accurately represent our rich and broad content set while being organized and curated in ways that best serve our users. This is an end-to-end ownership role, and you will operate autonomously while reporting to the Senior Director of Product, Search and Curated Experiences, and partnering closely on technical execution and the underlying platform.
Responsibilities
- Own Curated Experiences End to End: Drive the surfaces where our content meets the user—company profiles, industry profiles, monitoring, and future product surfaces—from concept through launch and iteration. You are the single accountable owner, expected to drive these programs forward autonomously.
- Lead With Taste and Quality: Architect these experiences by designing, testing, and refining them to meet the high standards of professional investors. You will instinctively recognize whether a page delivers the right content and functionality for a Portfolio Manager or Analyst.
- Champion the Customer Perspective: Translate your deep knowledge of buy-side workflows (e.g., getting up to speed, earnings analysis, monitoring) into actionable product strategies, ensuring these workflows are intuitive and seamless.
- Identify Opportunities: Analyze market trends and competitor moves to spot gaps where we can leap ahead, using your industry intuition to identify opportunities generalist product managers might miss.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Search platform team, Engineering, Design, and Product Marketing to bridge the gap between technical capability and business value, explaining why specific data nuances matter to users.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Relentlessly push for better accuracy and speed by testing our tools against real-world investment scenarios to ensure reliability.
Requirements
- Domain Expert: At least 3-5 years of direct experience as an Analyst or Associate at a top-tier Hedge Fund, with a deep understanding of financial data, research workflows, and the nuances of investment decision-making.
- AI Enthusiast & Practitioner: While not a coder, you have a strong grasp of Generative AI, are comfortable with prompt engineering, and understand how to tweak inputs to achieve optimal outputs. You also recognize the limitations of LLMs and how to work around them.
- Visionary: Ability to visualize the functionality and content needed to streamline workflows, identifying where AI can eliminate tedious steps in the process.
- End-to-End Owner: Proven ability to take programs from idea to launch, operate autonomously, set your own direction, and drive initiatives forward.
- Creative Builder: You don’t just analyze—you build. You’ve personally shipped something (e.g., a prototype, automation, model, or app, whether vibe-coded or otherwise) and are excited to drive the build-out of impactful products for our customers.
- Clear Communicator: Ability to articulate complex financial concepts to engineers and designers who may lack a finance background.
- Adaptable & Resilient: Excited to transition from a role defined by market positions to one focused on user problem-solving, and ready to learn the craft of Product Management on the fly.
Pay
Base compensation range: $170,000—$190,000 USD. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may include performance-based bonuses, equity, and a generous benefits program.
