About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager for Order Processing at Tempus, you are critical to enabling assay productionalization initiatives and developing tools to improve operational efficiency in the healthcare industry through AI-driven clinical care solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the product roadmap for the Order Processing team, ensuring alignment with Tempus' strategic goals.
- Envision and articulate a clear, inspiring path forward, identifying key milestones and setting ambitious yet achievable targets.
- Work closely with engineering, design, commercial, and operations teams to drive the planning, design, and development of solutions.
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional product teams to develop project plans and set targets as part of quarterly planning; be accountable for achieving those targets.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Order Processing domain as well as broader end-to-end order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of all users, including clinicians, patients, and internal teams.
- Oversee product releases, ensuring they are stable in production and meet scalability, reliability, and performance goals.
- Cultivate and drive improvements to order management processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Distill, refine, and document information and implementation requirements across Tempus' teams, utilizing AI-assisted workflows to ensure precision and speed.
- Lead operational change management for production changes and any related workflow impacts.
- Triage and act on product support requests.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in product management.
- Outstanding cross-functional leadership skills, with proven experience managing complex projects through influence.
- A proven track record of translating research into design and product decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage several programs at once and work proactively to align multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts in simple terms.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, with a proclivity to roll up your sleeves and work on everything from strategy to execution.
- Experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- AI-Fluency: Leverages Generative AI to accelerate individual productivity and applies a strategic vision for incorporating an agentic-first approach into product solutions.
- A growth mindset and a desire to continuously learn.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a pervasive bias toward clarity and scalability.

Pay
The expected salary range for this role is $110,000-$160,000 if performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
