About the role

Shopmonkey is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic team, help us build the next generation of our platform, and lead to a dedicated squad of product, design, and engineering individuals. At Shopmonkey, we're not just building software; we're on a mission to help every auto repair shop thrive. We believe that with the right tools, shop owners can run their businesses smarter, faster, and more profitably. We are a fast-paced, collaborative, and customer-obsessed team, and we're looking for a senior product leader who shares our passion for getting under the hood and solving real-world problems.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evangelize product needs for our core customers, representing Product in customer engagements and partnering closely with customer-facing teams to deliver maximum value.
  • Communicate prioritization decisions, technical nuances, and the voice of the customer to impact thousands of auto shops across North America.
  • Lead feature scoping, prioritization, and trade-off discussions, ensuring the best outcomes. Translate vision into clear product requirements and user stories, managing the backlog to maximize impact and alignment with company goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, inspiring and collaborating with engineering, design, marketing, and customer-facing teams to ensure successful launches, adoption, and measurable outcomes. Work with leadership to connect strategic plans to actionable, prioritized initiatives with clear metrics and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with other squad leads and stakeholders to coordinate efforts, resolve dependencies, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Champion the customer by conducting research, analyzing data, and synthesizing insights to deeply understand the needs of our diverse customers. Use these insights and data analytics to guide decisions.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and validation through launch, iteration, and optimization. Measure success using product metrics such as adoption, engagement, and customer satisfaction, and use these to guide continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of successful product management experience leading complex software products with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of shipping SaaS products from concept to launch in a fast-paced, startup setting.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills to build trust, bridge gaps between teams, and influence without authority.
  • Tenacity and ample leadership experience enabling you to lead, influence, and organize complex, core feature projects.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with experience engaging senior leadership and customers.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to balance qualitative insights and quantitative metrics.
  • Familiarity with modern product and project management tools (e.g., Linear, Productboard, Wrike).
  • Hungry, fast-learner mindset with a bias towards action.
  • Ability to travel periodically for customer visits, events, and workshops.

Qualifications

  • Bonus: Experience in the automotive space or in mobile app development.

Benefits

In the United States the range is typically $140,000 to $180,000 with bonus + equity + benefits. The range provided is Shopmonkey’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.
