RemoteRemoteMarketing$116k–$196k/yrFull-time

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, a platform enabling organizations that depend on physical operations to harness IoT data for actionable insights and operational improvements. We focus on industries representing over 40% of global GDP—such as agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing—helping digitally transform their operations at scale. Our team shapes product solutions like Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make a lasting impact.

About the role

Fuel and energy are among the largest controllable costs for fleets, yet most operators make decisions with partial data and disconnected tools. Samsara leverages operational data to build cost-optimization products. As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll own a product area end-to-end, turning operational data into products that help fleets cut fuel spend, improve efficiency, and navigate the shift to electric. Our portfolio includes fuel cost optimization (fuel cards, bulk fuel, partner programs), driver and vehicle efficiency, EVs and energy transition, and operational cost intelligence. You’ll work at the intersection of operational data, financial outcomes, and fleet performance, partnering with engineering, design, data science, business development, and go-to-market teams. This remote position is open to candidates in the U.S. within the Eastern or Central Time zones.

You should apply if:

  • You want your work to impact the physical economy by helping fleets reduce fuel costs, waste less energy, and keep goods and people moving.
  • You seek real ownership of a product area’s vision, strategy, and roadmap, with opportunities for growth and advancement at Samsara.
  • You’re drawn to hard, open-ended problems, especially as we integrate AI-powered products into workflows that have never had them.
  • You value candid feedback and an experimental mindset, challenging the status quo and embracing failure as part of learning.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a key product area, such as fuel cost optimization, fleet efficiency, energy management, or operational cost intelligence.
  • Translate Samsara’s operational data (telematics, fuel consumption, idling, routing, vehicle health) into products that reduce costs and improve fleet performance.
  • Run deep discovery with fleet owners, fuel managers, operations leaders, and finance teams to understand their challenges.
  • Prototype and design MVPs—clickable flows, working demos, or AI-assisted rough cuts—to pressure-test ideas with customers before engineering investment.
  • Ship end-to-end experiences with design, engineering, and data science teams, from backend pipelines and partner integrations to customer-facing dashboards and mobile surfaces.
  • Define success metrics, build business cases for new initiatives, and drive a continuous cycle of experimentation and iteration grounded in data and customer feedback.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product management, with a track record of shipping products used by real customers at scale.
  • Experience designing, prototyping, or building products yourself, and driving cross-functional launches end-to-end.
  • Hands-on with data: ability to find insights, measure what isn’t being measured, define KPIs, and collaborate with data science teams.
  • Strong customer-research instincts, turning insights into actionable strategies that ship.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to align cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, marketing, legal, GTM) and simplify complex tradeoffs for diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience shipping products dependent on partnerships, integrations, or external data ecosystems beyond your engineering team.
  • Domain experience in fuel/energy, fleet management, fintech/payments, logistics, or electric vehicles.
  • Experience shipping AI- or ML-powered features.

Pay

Annual base salary range: $116,322—$195,500 USD. This role is also eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance, subject to plan terms.

Benefits

At Samsara, we build for the people who keep the global economy moving. Our total rewards program includes:

  • Above-market total compensation through base salary, performance-based bonus/variable pay, and equity (for eligible roles).
  • Flexible, employee-led remote model with optional in-office collaboration.
  • Professional development stipend.
  • Comprehensive health and parental leave plans.
