Senior Product Manager
About The Role
As AmmoSquared scales, we're building a lean, high-impact product team that turns customer insight into products our members rely on. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the roadmap for our customer-facing online platform, the product our community of 200,000+ members use to build and manage their ammunition reserve. You'll take the reins on execution: prioritizing, speccing, and shipping the initiatives that improve activation, retention, and revenue, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our product designer, data scientist, and engineering team. Partnering closely with the Head of Product, you'll also deepen the discovery and validation work that makes sure we build the right things, which means talking to members, testing concepts, and building the evidence behind our concepts. This is a role for someone who can take the wheel and drive. You'll own strategy and execution end-to-end for our existing customer platform, covering discovery, validation, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and performance. It's a chance to make an outsized impact on a product real people count on. This will free our Head of Product to focus on company-level product strategy and exploring new product lines.
Responsibilities
- Own the Roadmap & Execution. Run the day-to-day product roadmap for our existing customer platform: prioritization, clear specs, and close partnership with Engineering as features get built and shipped.
- Drive Discovery & Validation. Gather insights and signals from the market, talk to members, run focus groups, analyze the conversion funnel, analyze feature usage and adoption, and build the evidence that tells us what to build and why, before we build it.
- Move the Metrics That Matter. Lead initiatives that improve onboarding and activation, strengthen retention, and increase revenue by improving existing revenue streams and creating new ones.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally. Work closely with Design, Data, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Engagement to turn insight into shipped product and coordinated go-to-market.
- Instrument & Measure. Work with Data to define the success metrics for each initiative, make sure new features are properly instrumented, and measure outcomes so we learn from everything we ship.
- Support Adoption & Launch. See launches through end-to-end, from in-app guidance to enabling the team, so the things we build actually get used, and the desired outcomes actually happen.
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years in product management, shipping consumer-facing (B2C) digital products. You've built for everyday consumers, not just enterprise or B2B buyers.
- Operates independently. You take ambiguous direction and run with it, owning the roadmap end-to-end and shipping without close oversight. You'll own this platform rather than wait for direction on it, so confident, reliable self-direction is a must.
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce and subscription or membership businesses. You've worked in DTC subscription commerce or similar recurring-revenue models.
- A track record of product discovery and validation. You make decisions with evidence, not just opinions.
- Strong data fluency, comfortable defining metrics, reading a funnel, and partnering with data analysts and designers to test and learn.
- Excellent collaboration and communication. You work naturally with Design, Data, and Engineering, and can tell a clear story about the "what" and the "why."
- Genuine enthusiasm for the firearms, ammunition, and Second Amendment community. This is core to the role. You should be excited to talk guns, ammo, and brands with members who live this lifestyle.
- Bonus: Professional experience in the firearms or broader outdoors industry.
