Our client is seeking a Senior Product Manager to become a subject matter expert on their software and work cross-functionally to develop product strategies and define requirements throughout the Product Development Life Cycle.
Responsibilities
- Work with the SCRUM team to deliver new features, functionality, maintenance, and tech debt for a specific area of the platform.
- Establish and maintain business and user requirements as User Stories, use cases, and mock-ups with appropriate detail for development teams.
- Partner with Architects, Development, and Quality Engineering teams to ensure requirements are covered and quality is achieved.
- Coordinate product-specific communications to stakeholders and clients, including release documentation, milestones, and deliveries.
- Drive product and business planning processes for cross-functional teams.
- Analyze customer needs, market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build-vs.-buy perspective with the Director of Product.
- Assess competitor offerings and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments.
- Appraise new product ideas and strategize go-to-market plans with the Director of Product.
- Perform Continuous Discovery and experimentation to map out the problem and opportunity space.
Qualifications
- 6+ years in product management roles, including story writing and experience as a software subject matter expert.
- Experience in the life insurance industry, either directly through sales and marketing support, distribution channels, or vendor positions.
- Intermediate knowledge of Life and Annuity products and concepts.
- Leadership or mentor experience in executing all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements, sprint management, testing, documentation, and delivery).
- Prior Agile experience writing stories is required.
- Track record of successful consumer-facing AI/ML product deployments.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML product development methodologies and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of AI ethics, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
- Certified AI Product Manager (CAPM) Certification is a plus.
Pay
$100,000 - $130,000 annually
