Senior Product Manager
About the role
The Senior Product Manager will own the Autonomy Platform, which includes perception, planning, and motion capabilities that power all Pickle robots currently deployed and will form the foundation for future truck loading and industry autonomy.
Responsibilities
Own the Autonomy Platform roadmap, defining what to build, what not to, and the sequence in which to build it.
Partner with engineering leadership to balance current customer reliability with future capability.
Productize the autonomy stack, ensuring it serves as a foundational platform for future products and industry solutions.
Treat simulation as a critical product, evolving the simulation environment to support faster iteration, broader scenario coverage, and pre-deployment validation.
Reason about probabilistic systems, setting criteria for what constitutes "good enough to ship" and defending these criteria against potential overconfidence.
Get out of the office to understand real-world operations, spending time at customer docks and observing trailer unloading processes.
Requirements
5+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years in roles where ML, robotics, or probabilistic systems were core to value.
Comfortable working with both hardware and software, understanding the trade-offs between rapid software iteration and slower hardware changes.
Fluent in communication with autonomy and ML engineering teams, able to discuss complex topics like perception failure modes and model evaluation.
Experience in managing internal platforms, SDKs, simulation environments, or developer tools, measuring success based on team velocity and reliability.
Strong writing skills, capable of creating PRDs, one-pagers, MRDs, and release notes.
A bias towards action and simplification, focusing on delivering results rather than adding complexity.
Bonus: prior experience in robotics, logistics, supply chain, simulation tooling, or autonomous vehicle (AV) stacks.
