About the role

The Senior Product Manager will support strategic initiatives across investment performance, attribution, benchmark, portfolio analytics, and investment operations platforms. They will serve as a key liaison between investment stakeholders and technology teams, driving requirements, delivery, and platform enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Portfolio Managers, Investment Performance teams, Risk teams, and Investment Operations stakeholders to define business requirements and strategic priorities.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder workshops across front, middle, and back-office functions within the investment management organization.
  • Translate complex investment management workflows into user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and process documentation.
  • Own and manage product backlogs, ensuring priorities are aligned with business objectives, delivery timelines, and platform roadmaps.
  • Drive enhancements across investment performance measurement, attribution, benchmark management, portfolio accounting, and investment reporting platforms.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Cook up delivery efforts across engineering, data, analytics, and quality assurance teams while managing dependencies and risks.
  • Utilize SQL to support data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and analytical initiatives related to investment and benchmark data.
  • Support reporting and business intelligence initiatives through collaboration with data and analytics teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, process optimization, and AI-enabled delivery practices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Product Management, Product Owner, Business Systems Analysis, or related experience within Asset Management.
  • Deep understanding of investment performance, attribution, benchmark construction, portfolio analytics, portfolio accounting, investment operations, or investment risk functions.
  • Experience supporting systems and workflows utilized by Portfolio Management, Performance Measurement, Risk, or Investment Operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of front, middle, and back-office investment management processes.
  • Working knowledge of financial instruments including equities, fixed income, ETFs, mutual funds, derivatives, and alternative investments.
  • Experience gathering requirements, managing stakeholders, and driving delivery across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong Agile delivery experience, including backlog ownership, prioritization, and sprint planning.
  • Hands-on SQL experience supporting data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively bridge business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, CAIA, CIPM, or progress toward certification.
  • Experience with investment performance methodologies including TWR, MWR, attribution analysis, benchmark construction, tracking error, and related analytics.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Experience utilizing JIRA, Azure DevOps, or comparable Agile delivery tools.
