Senior Product Development Engineer
About the Role
We're seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to play a key role in the development of next-generation medical device technologies from concept through commercialization. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on product development, rapid prototyping, testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative devices to market.
The position offers broad exposure across the entire product lifecycle, including design controls, risk management, supplier collaboration, process development, and transfer to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Develop new product concepts
- Drive design and reliability improvements
- Support verification and validation activities
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to scale products from development into production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including leadership, clinicians, and development teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3-6+ years of product development experience within medical devices or a highly regulated industry
- Strong SolidWorks proficiency
- Experience with prototyping, bench testing, design verification, and validation
- Ability to work with external suppliers, contract manufacturers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong understanding of design controls, risk management, and product development processes
