About the role

Aquent is partnering with a leading financial-services organization to find a visionary designer who will shape digital experiences that influence millions of users. In this role, you’ll lead design initiatives from conception to delivery, crafting intuitive and delightful digital products across desktop, mobile web, and native mobile platforms. Your work will drive meaningful change, elevate user satisfaction, and contribute directly to the strategic growth and innovation of the client’s digital offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the full UX design lifecycle, from initial discovery to final implementation, ensuring solutions delight users and align with business needs.
  • Design seamless interactions across desktop, mobile web, and native mobile platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with a cross-functional Agile team to co-create innovative solutions.
  • Independently lead design exploration and decision-making, defining problems and proposing impactful solutions.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, proactively addressing challenges and proposing effective resolutions.
  • Uphold high design standards, adhering to channel guidelines and an established design system while evolving patterns and approaches.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with peers and cross-functional teams through clear communication, shared understanding, and mutual accountability.
  • Model leadership behaviors through exceptional craft, communication, and follow-through.
  • Mentor or support less experienced designers, fostering growth within the team.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of UX design experience focused on digital products or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of UX experience specifically for touch-based mobile interfaces.
  • An online portfolio showcasing design thinking that leads to innovative solutions (include a link with your resume; provide passwords if required).
  • Demonstrated experience with most aspects of a user-centered design process, including user research, developing user flows, creating wireframes, and building interactive prototypes for testing.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience using AI-powered tools or workflows to support design, research, or problem-solving, with an interest in applying emerging technologies thoughtfully.
  • Strong self-management skills and comfort owning work independently.
  • Ability to clearly communicate design decisions to diverse audiences.
  • Some technical knowledge or experience collaborating closely with engineers.

This position is available on a W-2 employment basis only and is not open to Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements. Employment-based visa sponsorship or transfers are not provided for this role.
