About the role
We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of income verification products for mortgages and lending. This role involves shaping intuitive workflows that balance borrower ease, lender clarity, and operational realities.
Responsibilities
- Own design for key Truework product areas across borrower, lender, and internal operational experiences.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, shape roadmaps, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Simplify complex workflows into clear, user-friendly experiences.
- Design for trust and clarity in a sensitive financial domain.
- Translate insights into outcomes by combining qualitative research, stakeholder input, and product data.
- Create thoughtful interaction and visual design across responsive web and/or platform surfaces.
- Facilitate alignment with workshops, design reviews, and strong storytelling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with partners such as Customer Success, Sales, Compliance/Legal, Data, and Operations.
- Contribute to design systems and standards to improve consistency, speed, and quality.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of product design experience.
- Strong track record of shipping high-quality work.
- Comfortable working in complex domains with edge cases.
- Experience balancing user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and timelines.
- Experienced in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
- Independent researcher with experience in interviews, usability testing, and concept validation.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on interaction patterns, content clarity, information hierarchy, and accessibility.
Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, lending, mortgage, identity, compliance-heavy, or other high-trust regulated spaces.
- Experience designing B2B / B2B2C products, especially workflows used by operations teams or external partners.
- Familiarity with design systems, documentation, and scalable component thinking.
- Experience designing for secure data, consent, and privacy-forward user experiences.

Pay
Pay ranges based on geographic cost of labor and may vary by location. For remote positions, the range is provided. Please note that the target range for an exact location will be specified during the recruiting discussion.
Schedule
Individuals are expected to work from the office 3+ days a week. In-office perks include lunch five times a week, a commuter stipend, and an abundance of snacks and beverages. A relocation stipend may be available for those willing to relocate to a Checkr hub location.
