What You'll Do
- Define interaction and visual design standards for mobile products, setting the benchmark for excellence.
- Design user-centric experiences that skillfully balance user needs with business goals, ensuring scalability and global applicability.
- Own and continuously evolve the mobile design system, driving consistency and efficiency across platforms.
- Provide a crucial international design perspective within the product organization, championing diverse user needs.
- Actively partner with the research team to conduct and analyze user research, transforming insights into impactful design solutions.
- Work collaboratively with teams across the company to build a mature ecosystem that genuinely serves and empowers the community.
- Collaborate effectively with partners on cross-functional teams to ensure seamless alignment and execution of design initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Solid professional experience leading design for mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing a proven track record of designing thoughtful, engaging, and highly usable mobile experiences.
- In-depth knowledge of platform-specific design patterns and conventions across iOS and Android.
- Experience designing experiences for consumers in diverse regions, including North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Demonstrated experience designing with international privacy laws and regulations in mind.
- Experience designing for commerce-based companies, specifically with international checkout experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to consistently frame, explain, and support design decisions to peers and stakeholders, and deeply understand their feedback.
- Strong foundational strengths in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
- Comfortable using both formal and informal methods to gather and provide constructive feedback.
- Proficiency with leading design programs like Figma and comfortable with prototyping.
- A deep sense of empathy for communities and a recognition of their vital contribution to the ecosystem.
- An understanding of the challenges inherent in the creative process and the dedication required to bring projects to life.
Pay
The target hiring compensation for this role is a $158,393 base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
