About the role

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer, Mobile to shape how founders and teams use Bubble to build native mobile apps, without writing code.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design for mobile-focused editor surfaces: builder workflows, configuration UIs, preview and testing flows, and mobile-specific tooling within the Bubble editor.
  • Design editor experiences that help builders correctly apply mobile-native patterns, navigation, gestures, layout, actions, and spacing, without needing to understand platform conventions themselves.
  • Contribute to the mobile runtime experience on iOS and Android, ensuring that what builders produce meets native quality standards.
  • Partner with PM and other designers to shape how the Bubble editor communicates mobile concepts (like safe areas, tab bars, or platform-specific behaviors) to non-technical users.
  • Lead design from problem definition through research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and launch.
  • Gather mobile-specific feedback with PM and user-facing teams, identifying opportunities that improve builder adoption and retention.
  • Plan and run lightweight UX research and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
  • Evolve mobile-related components and patterns within Bubble's visual elements, informed by iOS and Android platform guidelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering to scope and sequence mobile releases without sacrificing quality.
  • Use AI and prototyping tools to explore and communicate interaction behavior.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in Product Design or UX, with strong experience designing complex web applications (editors, admin tools, dashboards, or builder/creator tools).
  • Strong interaction and UX foundation with portfolio examples demonstrating systems-level thinking.
  • Familiarity with iOS and/or Android design conventions, and judgment on when to follow vs. diverge from them. Deep mobile platform experience is a strong plus, but we also value candidates with excellent tooling or builder-product backgrounds who are eager to develop mobile expertise.
  • Experience designing tools or interfaces where the end-user of your design is creating something for someone else (e.g., builder tools, CMSs, design tools, developer platforms).
  • Able to work independently and lead complex projects from framing to launch.

Portfolio Requirements

  • Shows commercially released work with clear examples of complex web application interfaces (such as editors, admin tools, dashboards, or builder/creator tools).
  • Includes at least one case study where you designed tools that enable others to create or configure experiences, ideally mobile experiences.
  • Demonstrates system-level thinking and how your designs integrate with or extend an existing design system.
  • Clearly describes your process, including the problem, constraints, iterations, and impact on both users and the business.
  • Includes examples demonstrating awareness of mobile platform considerations, whether through native app design, mobile-aware tooling, or research into mobile usage patterns.
