Senior Product Designer

About the role

Storable is hiring a Senior Product Designer to support Storage, RV/Camping, and Marine within our centralized design team. You'll lead through hands-on UX work and mentorship. You'll partner with Product and Engineering to improve how customers use our software. You'll own prioritized UX initiatives across the three business areas and mentor designers through their work. This is an individual contributor role without direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer workflows through research, observation, and collaboration with product teams. Define problems clearly and use that evidence to guide design decisions.
• Develop user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Test ideas with users and refine them before delivery. Work with engineers through implementation, documenting decisions and reviewing the shipped experience.
• Lead design reviews and mentor other designers through practical feedback. Coordinate shared work across business areas and help teams reuse patterns where customer needs overlap.
• Design accessible interfaces with clear controls, feedback, and error states. Use research and product measurement to assess whether changes help customers complete their work.
• Use AI tools in research synthesis, exploration, and prototyping, checking outputs against source evidence and user needs. Share workflows that the team can repeat and evaluate.

Requirements

• A portfolio of shipped software showing how you approached complex UX problems and evaluated the results. Explain your contribution, the evidence behind your choices, and the tradeoffs you made.
• Experience leading design work across product and engineering teams, with a record of mentoring other designers. You can make progress through ambiguity and explain design decisions to different audiences.
• Proficiency in Figma, interaction design, prototyping, and usability testing. You understand accessible design and can work with reusable components and patterns.
• Demonstrated proficiency integrating AI into UX workflows. Show where it helped and how you checked the output. Explain where human judgment remained necessary.

Schedule

This is a full-time role with three days per week in our Bellevue office, right off the light rail. All applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States and able to work a hybrid schedule in our Seattle, WA office. Storable is a fully distributed company, but is currently only registered for employment in certain states. Pay

Potential Pay Range: $180,000 USD – $210,000 USD. The compensation offered will fall within this range based on internal budget, skills, and experience. Speak with your recruiter about the variable pay plan and earning potential for this role.
