Senior Product Designer
The Role
We're a product development team where everyone ships. You should be excited to work as someone who produces product experiences through design and shipping code. You’ll work closely with Design, Product, and Engineering teams.
You should be a product designer who moves fluidly from developing features in Figma and Claude to implementing them in code, shortening the path from concept to production. You thrive on moving from concept to implementation, iterating based on real user feedback, and refining experiences through hands-on experimentation.
You sweat the details of interaction design, understand how modern AI products behave in practice, and enjoy collaborating closely with engineers while contributing directly to the codebase.
You're excited by designing repeatable patterns that make complex AI workflows feel intuitive, reliable, and enjoyable to use.
How We Work
We’re building the project management platform for software teams and their agents, and we work that way ourselves. Agentic tools are part of everyday life at Shortcut: we expect you to use them alongside your expertise and experience as a designer to ideate, prototype, and ship.
This part of our industry is evolving fast, and we support our team with dedicated funds and time to learn, experiment, and share best practices as a team.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to product design across our products, from early concepts to shipped experiences
- Prototype quickly, and take ideas from an idea to a working build
- Use AI to sharpen the design process itself, not just to move faster
- Distill feedback and complex problems into focused solutions
- Partner closely with product and engineering on both strategy and day-to-day execution
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience designing web applications, with hands-on experience incorporating agents and LLMs into production over the last 2+ years
- Comfortable shipping code as part of how you design, not just handing off specs
- Experience prototyping with Figma, HTML, CSS, and coding agents
- Strong storytelling and communication skills – you don't mind being a visible voice for your work
- Open to feedback and quick to adapt and iterate toward the best solution
