Senior Product Designer

About the role

The Role
In this role, you will lead the design of new feature innovations, design systems, and cross-platform experiences across iOS, Android, and Web.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Craft & Execution
  Create simple, elegant, and intuitive product experiences across iOS, Android, and Web.
• Own end-to-end design for new features and improvements, from discovery and user flows to high-fidelity design, prototyping, testing, and iteration.
• Design thoughtful experiences for complex financial data, social interaction, content discovery, and real-time market conversations.
• Use user insights, product data, and feedback to inform design decisions and improve key user journeys.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
  Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales teams to define problems, explore solutions, and ship high-quality product experiences.
• Clearly communicate design rationale, tradeoffs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Contribute to high-level strategic decisions around the evolution of the Stocktwits product experience.

Additional Responsibilities

• Be an advocate for our users; collect and synthesize insights from user research, product data, and competitive analysis to identify pain points and opportunities that deliver both user and business value.
• Drive design quality and consistency across your squad's work, from early concepts through final delivery.
• Craft clear design documentation, user flows, and handoff specs that enable smooth collaboration with Engineering.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding design priorities, tradeoffs, and execution plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional product design, UX, or UI design experience.
• Experience designing consumer-facing digital products, preferably across mobile and web.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating shipped product work, clear design thinking, visual craft, and problem-solving ability.
• Experience designing data-dense interfaces, dashboards, feeds, charts, or complex information systems.
• Strong Figma and design systems experience, including advanced use of auto layout, components, variants, responsive patterns, and clean file organization to support scalable cross-platform experiences.
• Working knowledge of front-end development principles, with the ability to design realistic, scalable patterns that account for technical constraints across web and mobile.
• Active use of AI tools to accelerate design work, including prototyping, copywriting, and generating design variations.
• Ability to move quickly, iterate based on feedback and constraints, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to clearly articulate design decisions, tradeoffs, and product rationale.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
• Interest in financial markets, investing, trading, crypto, social platforms, or online communities is strongly preferred.
