About the role
A Senior Product Designer at Hiive will lead the design of key product features and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and design solutions that meet both user needs and business goals. The role involves creating and maintaining a cohesive design system, conducting user research, and designing for both web and mobile platforms.
Responsibilities
- Leading the design of key product features and initiatives, from conceptualization to high-fidelity execution.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, to define product requirements and design solutions that meet both user needs and business goals.
- Creating and maintaining a cohesive, scalable design system to ensure consistency across products and platforms.
- Conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to iterate and improve design solutions.
- Designing for both web and mobile, with a focus on creating intuitive and delightful user experiences across devices.
- Owning and evolving the visual and interaction design of the product, ensuring high-quality, pixel-perfect designs.
- Leading design reviews and presenting design concepts to stakeholders across the company.
- Supporting others around you, championing the company values with a positive outlook.
- Responding effectively and respectfully to various working conditions with a growth mindset.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional design experience.
- Previous experience facilitating research and user testing.
- Experience with working with and developing design systems.
- Mastery in Figma and other applicable design software.
- Relevant experience with different design methods and techniques.
- An online or PDF portfolio (please include any passwords).
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working in a Fintech startup or designing for marketplaces.
- Ability to adapt well in quickly changing environments.
