About the role
A Senior Product Designer at Hiive will lead the design and implementation of key product features and initiatives, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to deliver efficient and user-friendly interfaces. The role requires a strong background in design, AI tooling, and experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Leading the design and implementation of key product features and initiatives, from conceptualization through iteration and delivery in code using AI agents (primarily Claude).
- Collaborating with engineers in delivering front-end code for new features and optimizing the user experience based on user feedback.
- Collaborating with product managers, business stakeholders, and other designers to refine product requirements and design solutions that meet both user needs and business goals.
- Conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to iterate and improve UX solutions.
- Designing and delivering web and mobile interfaces, with a focus on creating intuitive and delightful user experiences across devices.
- Owning and evolving the user experience output of a product team in combination with engineering.
- Presenting design concepts, prototypes, and production demos to stakeholders across the company.
- Fielding questions and engaging in detailed conversations about the user experience, development, and business ramifications of a design.
- Supporting others around you, championing the company values with a positive outlook.
- Responding effectively and respectfully to various working conditions with a growth mindset.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional design experience.
- Experience working with Claude Code, Claude Design, or equivalent AI tooling for producing user interfaces.
- Experience facilitating research and user testing.
- Experience working with and developing design systems.
- Experience collaborating with development to push production code.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working in a Fintech startup or designing for marketplaces.
- Front-end engineering experience in React.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in design principles, a deep understanding of user behavior, and proficiency in AI technologies. They should be able to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful designs.
