Senior Product Designer
About the role
This role is part of Choice Hotels' ongoing transformation to a Product Operating Model (POM), focusing on delivering real customer and business outcomes through cross-functional product teams.
Responsibilities
- Customer Research & Discovery: Spend real time with customers to uncover needs they can’t articulate, turning research into design strategies that shape the product’s direction.
- Prototyping & Ideation: Sketch, wireframe, and prototype at varying fidelities, testing concepts with customers before engineering commits.
- Design Craft & Systems: Take work from low-fidelity exploration to production-ready UI, ensuring usability and visual polish.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner with Product Managers and Tech Leads as equals, presenting strategic design recommendations to stakeholders.
- Problem Solving & Analysis: Tackle complex design problems independently, following through after launch, and improving journeys and conversion.
Qualifications
- Deep mastery of human-centered design and systems thinking, with a track record of owning design end-to-end from problem definition through delivery.
- Advanced in production-ready design, with strong interaction and visual skills, treating them as one discipline.
- Knowledge of frontend constraints to design realistically and partner well with engineering.
- Navigate value, usability, feasibility, and viability trade-offs with Product Manager and Tech Lead, working independently while checking in with manager on complex decisions.
- Manage multiple workstreams and surface ambiguity early.
- Communicate clearly in terms of customer outcomes, not just visuals, influencing product strategy.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $142,000 to $167,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP).
Schedule
Field/Remote positions may require occasional travel, depending on the role.
