Senior Product Designer
At Assort Health, we're building one continuous conversation for every patient—an AI agent that knows who you are, remembers your preferences, and carries context from your first symptom to full recovery. What began as the first voice AI agent to schedule a specialty appointment has grown into the largest proprietary specialty dataset in healthcare: 240 million patient interactions, 62,000 care protocols, and 1.6 million decision pathways. We’ve scaled from 15 people in 2025 to over 250 by the end of 2026, with revenue up 20x in 15 months and $222 million raised, including a recent $120 million Series C at a $1.2 billion valuation. Recognized on the Forbes Cloud 100 and the 2026 Enterprise Tech 30 as the only healthcare AI company, we’re tackling the $1.1 trillion healthcare administration problem.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end experience across our AI-native products, designing for clinic staff, patients, and internal teams. Your work will directly shape our growth trajectory, as great product experience is core to winning and retaining customers. You’ll partner with Engineering, Product, and GTM leadership to shape direction, translating ambiguous problems into high-craft solutions shipped at pace. This role is ideal for a designer who thinks in systems, communicates through narrative, and is comfortable designing both core AI flows and external-facing experiences. You’ll have significant latitude to shape design practice and standards company-wide.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of product design: shaping roadmap decisions, defining core experiences, and shipping at speed without compromising craft.
- Design AI-native experiences for internal operators, clinic users, and patients—each with distinct needs, contexts, and technical fluency.
- Design with commercial outcomes in mind: your work will directly influence ARR, retention, and expansion.
- Leverage, maintain, and scale our design system to drive consistency across all products and touchpoints.
- Set and uphold the bar for UI/UX quality, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to iterate quickly and prioritize user value.
Requirements
- 5+ years designing and shipping production-ready digital products (startup experience strongly preferred).
- Experience designing across multiple personas and surfaces, ideally within complex, high-stakes AI-driven products.
- A track record of design work that measurably moved revenue metrics (e.g., user growth, conversion, retention, or expansion ARR).
- A portfolio demonstrating systems thinking: full flows, edge cases, component architecture, and sharp interaction design.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity, making fast, confident decisions, iterating quickly, and handing off with precision.
- Deep Figma fluency (90%+ of work uses auto-layout and components).
- Fluent in integrating AI tooling into workflows (research, storytelling, UI copy, etc.).
- Comfort with prototyping tools like Figma Make and Cursor, and ease working across the design-development boundary.
Nice to Have
- Experience as an early design hire or founding designer at a startup.
- Design engineering experience, with appetite for hands-on work (e.g., maintaining design systems, building front-end UI).
Benefits
- Competitive compensation, including salary and employee stock options.
- Annual professional development budget and training opportunities.
- Office setup stipend for a productive in-office workspace.
- Top-tier medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Flexible PTO to recharge.
- Meals, snacks, and on-site dining options.
- Fitness stipend to support your wellness.
- Commuter benefits for eligible transportation costs.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan.
Pay
Compensation range: $175K - $200K.
