The Opportunity We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to add dedicated design capacity across our patient platform. You'll own end-to-end craft for the core patient experience across both web and our mobile app. This role reports directly to the VP of Product. Location: Hybrid (NYC). We value in-person collaboration and aim for at least three days per week in our NYC office, with flexibility as needed. Your Impact Design vision and strategy for the core patient experience (web + mobile app)Apply and help evolve our design system as it matures, working from shared patterns rather than defining them soloPartner day-to-day with product and engineering to ship high-quality, well-considered design on your surfacesConduct user research as needed for your work — interviews, usability testing, and behavioral analysisCollaborate closely with our founding designer to keep the product experience cohesive across surfaces Impact You’ll Drive Design velocity that keeps pace with engineering growthReduced key-person risk, with design capacity no longer resting on a single generalistHigh-craft, well-researched design on the surfaces you ownA stronger foundation for the design team as it grows into distinct domains This role offers the opportunity to make a direct, hands-on impact on patient health outcomes through thoughtful, user-centered design, while growing alongside a design team that's just beginning to scale. Required Qualifications 5+ years of product design experience with demonstrated impact on user experience and business outcomesExperience contributing to and working within a design system, ideally across more than one product surfaceBachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)Strong proficiency in FigmaPrototyping skills, creating interactive prototypes for user testing and stakeholder alignmentExperience conducting user research, interviews, usability testing, surveys, and behavioral analysisComfortable using data and user feedback to inform design decisionsStrong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholdersComfortable with ambiguity and a fast-moving, early-stage environmentExperience mentoring junior designers a plus, though not required for this role What Allara Offers Compensation & Career Growth$155,000 - $190,000 with opportunities for advancementEquityProfessional development & employee learning programs Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: candidate experience, location, education, certifications, and skill set.
