Senior Product Certification & Regulatory Lead

The Opportunity

Lion Energy is seeking a Compliance Champion to lead our product certification strategy. We are a high-growth leader in Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and seek a Regulatory Affairs professional with experience in MedTech, Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive (EV) to apply their expertise to the Green Energy Revolution.

Who You Are

• Process-oriented leader, not just a subject matter expert in energy codes
• Experience in Technical Regulatory Affairs, Product Certification, or Systems Compliance
• Transferable Industry Background: Medical Devices (FDA/ISO 13485), Aerospace (FAA/DO-160), Defense (MIL-STD), or Automotive (ISO 26262/EV)
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read electrical schematics and understand the relationship between hardware and firmware
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple certification projects with external labs and strict deadlines

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Regulatory Affairs, Product Certification, or Systems Compliance
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
• Ability to read electrical schematics and understand the relationship between hardware and firmware
• Proven ability to manage multiple certification projects with external labs and strict deadlines

Desired (But Learnable) Skills

• Familiarity with Power Electronics or Energy Storage (ESS) standards
• Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, IEEE 2030.5)
• Experience with grid-interconnection requirements or utility-level listings
