Senior Product and Regulatory Counsel

About the role

This attorney will serve as a key legal advisor supporting innovative health products from early development through launch and post-market lifecycle management. The role will partner closely with product, clinical, regulatory, marketing, and privacy stakeholders to help shape compliant, scalable solutions. The work will focus on balancing product strategy with medical device, advertising, data privacy, and international regulatory requirements. This position also supports cross-functional decision-making on AI-enabled features, global market expansion, and long-term governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal advisor on medical device regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from product ideation to launch
• Establish governance frameworks integrating regulatory and product requirements
• Support pre-market legal requirements and user-facing terms review
• Advise on legal considerations for AI-driven health features
• Guide clinical validation strategies including study design and partnerships
• Review marketing materials for compliance with advertising and regulatory standards
• Provide legal input on post-market compliance and change controls
• Track global regulatory developments to inform long-term product strategy
• Coordinate with external counsel on complex regulatory matters

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
• Active U.S. law license
• 8+ years of experience
• Expertise in U.S. medical device regulations and FDA submissions
• Knowledge of international medical device regulations, including EU MDR
• Ability to identify regulatory risks in data privacy and marketing domains
• Effective cross-functional collaborator influencing product strategy
• Ability to translate complex legal language into practical advice for non-legal teams
