About the role

The Senior Procurement Support Specialist is a strategic, experienced procurement professional who acts as a process and system owner for key procurement support processes. This role manages the RFQ and supplier selection process for common production techniques or commodities, supports strategic purchasing teams, and ensures accurate ERP system updates. You will report to the Manager of Procurement Support Specialists for the Poultry Division.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage global strategic procurement support processes, systems, and tools.
  • Prioritize and process new parts requisitions, ensuring timely and accurate addition to SAP.
  • Independently run RFQ and supplier selection processes for common production techniques and commodities.
  • Update ERP database with vendor and material master data, including contracts, credentials, prices, lead times, and minimum order quantities.
  • Guide internal and external stakeholders in adhering to agreed procurement processes.
  • Perform spend analysis, including costing sheets, weekly price comparisons, and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Manage the Request for Quotation process, including distribution, follow-up, data pre-analysis, and communication with strategic purchasers.
  • Support Procurement Project Leaders, NPI teams, and Strategic Procurement in daily operational activities, such as new parts setup in ERP.
  • Manage purchase orders for non-regular flows (e.g., samples, prototype parts).
  • Oversee non-defined spare parts flow in collaboration with Service teams.
  • Coordinate documentation changes for parts and sourceable items with Engineering, Sales, Service, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Manage intercompany buying flows.
  • Support or join supplier visits as requested.
  • Manage tactical supplier relationships and support strategic purchasers for strategic and partner relationships.
  • Organize returns for non-conforming materials and discuss solutions with suppliers.
  • Handle warranty claims from globally located customers via the Service organization.
  • Resolve disputed invoices on behalf of strategic purchasers to reduce non-automated matched invoices.
  • Support purchasers in managing the Gateway/Portal for price deviations at order confirmation.
  • Manage the signing process and recording of NDAs and contracts in relevant databases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience or vocational training in strategic purchasing or purchasing project management.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Comfort working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary organization is an advantage.
