Senior Procurement Manager

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Space and C&H Operational Group Managers.
- Lead procurement strategy, execution, and oversight for all programs requiring procurement support and major initiatives.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for procurement staff supporting the Groups.
- Oversee procurement performance, risk management, and compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Support sourcing strategy development, supplier negotiations, and agreement execution.
- Manage escalations, resolve supplier issues, and support program delivery teams.
- Conduct direct procurement activity for complex or high-visibility requirements (20%).
- Partner with senior leadership to align procurement operations with the Groups' objectives.
- Deliver training to program teams on procurement best practices to support compliance and cross-team collaboration.
- Maintain accountability for file audits across all procurement files within the Space and C&H portfolios.
- In collaboration with the procurement operations and compliance team, help drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, compliance, and collaboration.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in procurement or subcontracts.
- Minimum of 5 years leading or managing a team of procurement professionals.
- BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or other relevant discipline required.
- Demonstrated experience supporting procurement actions in government contracting environments.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and supplier management skills.
- Ability to manage procurement compliance and risk mitigation.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen to meet the requirements of this position.
Skills
- Experience supporting BOS or large-scale government programs.
- Familiarity with automation tools, AI-enabled procurement technologies, and digital procurement workflows.
- Experience with strategic sourcing and long-term supplier management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Certification in Procurement, Supply Chain or Contracts from a University, DAU, or NCMA.

The salary offered will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity, business needs, and other factors permitted by law.
Schedule
This role is a hybrid position that requires three days on-site and two days remote. Work location: Hybrid/Onsite (candidate must be local to the DC Metro area).
