Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a group of supervisors, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.
  • Supervise a broader team of technical professionals through subordinate supervisors across all shifts.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Cookshift activities and ensure consistent communication and execution of technical standards.
  • Initiate and apply Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Standard Work to improve process flow and eliminate waste.
  • Lead cross-functional Lean initiatives aimed at improving productivity, reducing downtime, and increasing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Train supervisors and team members on Lean tools and methodologies to build internal capability and sustain a culture of operational excellence.
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and optimization of injection molding processes across multiple teams.
  • Resolve process-related issues and drive root cause analysis for process deviations and quality concerns.
  • Lead efforts to minimize scrap, reduce cycle time, and ensure process repeatability.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on molding processes and equipment within the facility.
  • Support new tooling implementations, mold validations, and process qualifications.
  • Collaborate on capital planning and assist in specifying and commissioning new equipment.
  • Track and report on process-related KPIs such as OEE, scrap, and cycle time.
  • Analyze trends to identify technical challenges and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure all subordinate supervisors follow data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Partner with Engineering, Tooling, Production, and Quality departments to meet technical and production goals.
  • Participate in audits, safety initiatives, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Contribute to successful product launches and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 7+ years of injection molding experience, including leadership of technical teams.
  • 3+ years managing or supervising other supervisors or team leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, automation, and production optimization.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement.
