Senior Process Operator
About the role
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or process operator role.
- 3+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience performing equipment changeovers and start-of-batch activities.
- Demonstrated experience following and completing batch documentation and SOPs.
Responsibilities
This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Lead equipment changeovers and start-of-batch activities with accurate documentation and safe handover.
- Operate, clean and maintain production equipment following standard operating procedures and batch documentation.
- Maintain rigorous safety, hygiene, and compliance standards to support inspection readiness and operational excellence.
- Monitor process performance and product quality. Escalate issues and support root cause resolution.
- Use production systems and basic data tools to record performance, identify trends and support improvements.
- Coach and train colleagues on safety practices and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement activities to increase safety, quality and equipment efficiency.
- Prepare production equipment and materials in line with batch instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Operate machinery and perform processes for machining, chemical processing, formulation, visual inspection, assembly, or packaging.
- Monitor meters, gauges, valves, temperatures, and pressures to ensure adherence to production specifications.
- Meet production schedules, volume, cost, and quality targets while maintaining compliance with safety and GMP standards.
- Handle, move, pack, and sort raw materials and finished goods, ensuring efficient material flow.
- Maintain rigorous safety, hygiene, and compliance standards to support inspection readiness and operational excellence.
- Complete accurate daily production records for traceability and performance analysis.
- Perform minor maintenance, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and collaborate with maintenance teams as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or process operator role. 3+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience. High School Diploma or GED. Experience performing equipment changeovers and start-of-batch activities. Demonstrated experience following and completing batch documentation and SOPs.
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree, technical certificate or equivalent education. On-the-job training certification across multiple work centers. Practical mechanical aptitude and ability to read gauges and instrumentation. Basic computer skills including MS Office and experience using production systems. Experience using data to troubleshoot or improve process performance. Experience training others and contributing to written work instructions.
Physical and workplace expectations
This position is on-site and requires shift work in a regulated manufacturing environment. The position involves working in a manufacturing environment with noise and moving equipment. Workers are required to wear protective gear and equipment. Lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks on a daily basis such as kneeling, climbing and standing. Ability and willingness to work extended shift lengths (up to 12.5 hours) when needed. Ability to work shift patterns and overtime when required.
