Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine plant operations including calibrations, start-up and shutdown procedures
• Working with manual and automatic systems
• Loading/unloading materials and chemicals, including some manual handling
• Working in hazardous controlled zones, adhering to ReVentas's strict Safety, Health and Environment procedures
• Participating in risk assessments and procedure development
• Issuing Permits to Work and other work control systems
• Participating in technical problem-solving as part of the wider team

Qualifications

• Chemical or relevant scientific qualifications required, either through industrial training, vocational or formal education (minimum Standard Grades/ Nat 5s/ O levels/ GSCEs)
• Being educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant scientific field is advantageous but not essential
• Minimum 3-5 years experience of working as a process operator in a chemical sector
• Involvement in H&S for a chemical process, preferably involving organic solvents is advantageous
