Senior Process Integration Development Engineer
About the role
Manufacturing Development Customer Engineering (MDCE) is Intel's newest organization within Intel Foundry Technology Manufacturing (FTM). We bridge the critical gap between Technology Development (TD) and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM), advancing technology nodes from initial product qualification to high-yield production across multiple products while enhancing technologies for our foundry customers.
Responsibilities
Lead engineering projects focused on yield improvement, device targeting, and performance optimization across products and process derivatives.
Execute comprehensive feasibility studies and experiments to characterize processes throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring robust and reliable integration.
Utilize big data analytics to identify manufacturing tool limitations and propose data-driven process improvements.
Collaborate with other Technology Development and Yield Teams to develop, qualify, import, and optimize emerging semiconductor technologies.
Develop integrated process solutions encompassing module equipment selection, material optimization, metrology solutions and process design to achieve manufacturability, cost, and productivity objectives.
Execute New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and implement process customizations tailored to foundry customer specifications.
Partner with cross-organizational teams including Device, Defect Reduction, and Yield Analysis engineers to identify root causes of yield and performance challenges.
Implement corrective solutions within established timelines while maintaining quality standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical insights and comprehensive support for foundry customer requirements.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or in a STEM related field of study.
5+ years of semiconductor industry experience with specific focus on Process Integration development and customization.
Demonstrated experience in large-volume manufacturing environments with deep understanding of manufacturing processes and platforms.
Expertise in device physics and/or interconnects and critical parameter control.
Experience in big data analysis for identifying and resolving process and manufacturing challenges.
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or in a STEM related field of study.
Experience in project/program management and cross-functional team leadership.
Experience in new semiconductor technology development and FEOL/BEOL process optimization.
Exposure to foundry ecosystem operations and customer requirements.
Experience in yield improvement initiatives and high-volume manufacturing optimization.
Experience in fabrication process engineering including: (lithography and advanced patterning, dry etch processes, wet cleaning technologies, diffusion processes, thin-film deposition, and chemical mechanical planarization (CMP)).
Semiconductor foundry experience.
