Senior Process Engineer (Cold Forming)

About the role

We are looking for engineers specializing in design and/or process to support continued growth across our Burgess Norton and SMW divisions. The role is based on-site and requires a strong presence on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Support new product launches from quoting through full production release
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for current production on the shop floor
• Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Recommend and execute capital investments, including faster machines and quick-change tooling strategies
• Collaborate across engineering, operations, and leadership teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in Cold Forming, Hot Forming, or Forging, including tool design and manufacturing support
• Ability to effectively communicate from the shop floor to senior leadership
• CAD experience (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Pro-E, or similar)
• Experience with DEFORM and/or SAP (a plus)

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and support multiple locations
• Spanish or Italian language skills are a plus
• Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
