Senior Process Engineer

Location: San Diego, CA (in-office)

About the role

Seasats designs and deploys unmanned surface vessels that operate at sea for months at a time. As we scale production, this role will design and own the manufacturing processes, documentation, and data that turn a validated design into a repeatable, high-quality build, from process routings and work instructions in our MES, that keep our lines running smoothly. Responsibilities

• Designing and developing manufacturing processes, operation sequences, and process routings, and maintaining them in our MES
• Translating engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs into clear, visual work instructions and standard operating procedures for production
• Identifying and implementing process controls that verify functional requirements and design intent, including methods to screen for potential failure modes
• Collecting and analyzing manufacturing data, such as cycle time, yield, and defect rates, to identify bottlenecks and prioritize continuous improvement
• Leading root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action on manufacturing and process non-conformances
• Owning process transition from prototype through new product introduction (NPI) to full-rate production, partnering with cross-functional
