Responsibilities
- Perform broad range or process engineering fundamentals
- Develop heat and material balances
- Develop process flow diagrams
- Develop process specifications for equipment
- Develop hydraulic circuit pressure drop analysis
- Develop heat integration/recovery analysis
- Develop preliminary piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Develop and direct process unit test runs
- Troubleshoot client processes
- Develop process designs
- Relief valve design and validation per API RP 520/521
- Provide written process narratives and process engineering reports
- Directly interface with clients
- Interface with the multidiscipline detailed design group
- Aids Sr. Estimator and Scheduler in the development of cost estimating, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Actively pursue professional engineering license (if not already licensed)
Minimum Qualifications
- B. S. in Chemical Engineering from accredited program
- 8+ years of process engineering experience or operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with multi-discipline teams and clients
- Extensive Process Simulation experience (HYSYS, UNISYS preferred)
- P. E. license preferred
Reporting Requirements
Reports to the Process Department Engineer Manager
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- Ability to perform field work as required at client sites.
