Senior Process Engineer
Brief Description
GEOTEK manufactures engineered composite products for global infrastructure. They are seeking a Sr. Process Engineer to own their filament winding process, driving continuous improvement, designing manufacturing tooling and equipment, and solving production problems independently.
About the role
The Sr. Process Engineer will lead design and development of manufacturing fixtures and production tooling using CAD, drive continuous improvement initiatives, provide technical guidance to operations teams, support new product development, and manage multiple projects independently.
Responsibilities
- Own engineering projects from concept through implementation: process optimization, equipment design, tooling development, and troubleshooting
- Lead design and development of manufacturing fixtures and production tooling using CAD
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives; challenge current processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity
- Provide technical guidance to operations teams on root cause analysis and process issues
- Develop production work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and best practices documentation
- Support new product development and capital equipment evaluations
- Work cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, and engineering teams
Requirements
- 5+ years in continuous processing manufacturing (composites/filament winding experience is a plus, not required)
- Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, GD&T per ANSI Y14.5)
- Proven lean/process improvement mindset- you identify inefficiencies and own solutions
- Self-starter who manages multiple projects independently and sets own priorities
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, chemical, or composite engineering
- Hands-on problem solver comfortable working on the production floor and in the lab
Qualifications
- Experience designing manufacturing tooling and equipment
- Familiarity with thermoset resin systems (polyester, vinyl-ester, urethane)

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $98,174 - $155,239. Final offers may vary based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
Schedule
Time should be split between the floor and the office or meeting rooms ranging anywhere from 25% to 75% on the production floor or engineering labs. While working on the floor there will be work with and around moving machinery, fumes and chemicals. Office work requires sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.
