About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join the process engineering team responsible for designing the dairy processing portion of our New Berlin, NY plant. This role requires a deep understanding of dairy processing unit operations, equipment, and manufacturing technologies. Experience in both design and start-up/operational support is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and development of dairy processing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Capital project managers, Operations, Quality, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of process engineering solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with process engineering projects to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of process designs, specifications, and project progress.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Occasional travel to equipment vendors and other Chobani sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (other engineering degrees considered).
  • 7–10 years of experience in a food and beverage process engineering role, preferably in Dairy.
  • Experience with dairy, beverage, and/or aseptic processing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of project life cycle deliverables, contracts, and schedules.
  • Ability to work in a site environment with heavy equipment, smoke, dust, and noise.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and AutoCAD.

Pay

Compensation range: $107,000 – $161,000, plus bonus.
