About the role
The Senior Process Development Engineer position at Integer is responsible for applying engineering principles and practices to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded. Key responsibilities include developing processes and equipment for new product introductions, identifying and optimizing process and manufacturing technologies, leading cross-functional teams, and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded through the development of processes and equipment for new product introductions.
- Identify and optimize process and manufacturing technologies, validate processes and manufacturing lines, and establish efficient production line layouts.
- Lead new product introduction teams and establish efficient production line layouts or lead process improvements to existing plant operations.
- Develop new and unique approaches to complex problems and lead projects to advance Integer’s technological capabilities.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement new technologies of significant scope and complexity, and identify and procure new equipment and technology of significant complexity, scope, and cost.
- Plan and develop engineering projects concerned with unique or high-profile problems which have an important impact on major programs.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with individuals and business units within or outside the site or organization, serving as a subject matter expert in an engineering or specialty field.
- Provide support of Integer’s Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategies, championing the development of and deployment of systems and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Champion the development of and deployment of the systems and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement, aligning with the Integer Production System and its five focus areas.
Requirements
- Earned as a minimum a bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical field, with a preference for a master's degree.
- Preferably, 7+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles and experiences, with a minimum of a green belt in 6-Sigma and a preference for a black belt.
- Strong technical and problem-solving foundation, with training and certifications in various methodologies such as 6-Sigma, 8D, RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa (Fish Bone), Kepner-Tregoe, PMP.
- Ability to lead team activities and act as a coach for other less experienced associates.
- Calm demeanor and positive attitude in a high-energy, constantly changing production environment.

- Technical expertise and problem-solving skills in a variety of areas.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects.
- Ability to develop and implement new technologies and processes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
