About the role
The Senior Process Engineer will lead and develop Process Technicians, establish standards and best practices for part design, tool design, and production, and communicate with vendors, global project teams, and customers to solve problems.
Responsibilities
- Working with production team and improving internal process efficiency/scrap (70%)
- Meetings/Product development communication (20%)
- Communicating with direct reports (10%)
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in Injection molding
- Degree in related mechanical engineering or plastics technology
- Desire to work in hands-on environment
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Knowledge of engineering materials, inclusive of molds, resin types, and molding best practices
- Experience in part design and tool design for injection molding
- Experience with mechanical drawings and CAD software
Bonus if you have
- Robotics experience (programming and integrating.)
- Ferris State Plastics Program grad
- Solidworks experience
Qualifications
- Desire to work in hands-on environment
