Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Radar

About the role

BAE Systems’ Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for a Radar Engineer for the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line specializing in RF Seeker development programs.

Responsibilities

• Deeply impactful contributions to next generation military autonomy
• Collaborative value creation that is greater than the sum of individual contributions
• Technology maturation efforts across Strategic Initiatives, IRAD/CRAD R&D prototypes, EMD units, LRIP units to full rate production systems
• Engineering changes, lessons learned, insights, Agile retrospectives, and product/process improvements in Radar seeker technology
• Technical contributor on integrated product team in PGSS product line

Requirements

• Must hold a Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain Top Secret clearance
• Experienced in two or more Radar engineering activities to include analysis, design, prototyping, integration, test, and/or verification
• Familiarity in weapons systems design, missile systems design, or weapons systems performance analysis
• Skills in a combination of CPU & FPGA programming using C, C++, and VHDL
• Advanced (MS or higher) degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent
• Understanding of one or more Radar modalities to include pulsed-Doppler, SAR, and HR
• Experience with reviewing, characterizing, and/or verifying both hardware and software sensor architectures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field with 5+ years of applicable experience

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $120874 - $205486
