Senior Principal Product Manager, Global
About Vantage Data Centers
Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world’s well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.
Position Overview
This role will be based in Denver, CO. The Senior Principal Product Manager, Global is a company-level product leader responsible for defining and advancing Vantage’s most critical global infrastructure platforms as a cohesive, integrated portfolio. This role operates beyond individual platform ownership, shaping how products work together as a system, influencing enterprise investment, and aligning Vantage’s roadmap with long-term shifts in technology (chips, density), energy, and customer deployment models. This role functions as a Product Senior Individual Contributor, setting direction at the enterprise level without formal organization ownership.
What You Own
Portfolio-Level Product Strategy: Define a multi-year product portfolio strategy across major platforms. Shape how platforms interoperate as a system (not standalone solutions). Align product direction with: AI infrastructure evolution (accelerators, density), energy constraints and availability, global deployment models, and enterprise decision frameworks.
Enterprise Decision Frameworks: Establish company-wide product governance models, including: Standards vs. variants strategy, Lifecycle and release frameworks, Technology readiness and adoption thresholds. Enable repeatable, scalable decision-making across regions and teams.
Capital & Investment Alignment: Act as product authority in capital planning. Influence where and how Vantage invests (product, region, capability) and tradeoffs across cost, lifecycle value, and risk. Cross-Platform System Integration: Ensure alignment across core systems: Power architecture evolution, Cooling strategies (air to liquid transitions), Modularization / DfMA approaches. Drive system optimization vs. local optimization.
Market & Customer Leadership: Engage directly with hyperscale customers and partners to anticipate future requirements, co-develop next-generation deployment strategies, and represent Vantage in defining the future of AI infrastructure. Regional Product Enablement and Feedback Integration: Drive alignment between global product intent and regional execution, reducing drift and enabling scalable deployment consistency. Establish and operate closed-loop feedback mechanisms to capture insights from deployment, commissioning and operations, translating on-the-ground insights into product refinement. Ensure field learnings are incorporated as systematic product evolution, not one-off local adjustments.
Advanced Technology Integration: Partner closely with Advanced Technologies to translate emerging innovations (e.g., AI accelerators, power architectures, cooling systems, energy solutions) into the core product portfolio. Ensure new technologies are integrated as repeatable, governed platform capabilities—not one-off exceptions. Align technology development with product roadmap priorities, capital deployment, and global scalability requirements.
