About the role

The Senior/Principal Product Manager will own the foundational components of the Doss platform, including tables, workflows, interfaces, dashboards, navigation, permissions, and mobile. This role involves understanding both internal teams that build customer instances and end customers who use these instances.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product strategy and roadmap for the Foundations surface area, balancing the needs of internal builders and end customers.
  • Own the development and improvement of foundational building blocks such as tables, workflows, custom interfaces, DataStudio, system IA, user management, and mobile.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and internal solutions teams to ensure alignment between technical capabilities and customer needs.
  • Make trade-off decisions based on customer value, technical feasibility, and long-term platform coherence.
  • Work with internal teams to understand their needs and translate them into better primitives and tooling.
  • Help the team scale by setting up structures and roadmaps for new engineers to take ownership.

Requirements

  • Experience owning product strategy for technical platforms, infrastructure, developer tools, or similar building-block products.
  • A computer science background or prior experience as a software engineer, with the ability to reason about architecture, data models, and technical trade-offs alongside engineers.
  • Strong systems thinking: designing primitives that compose well and anticipating broader impacts of changes.
  • A track record of leading complex product work with multiple stakeholders and making clear decisions in areas with significant technical ambiguity.
  • Comfort working with a diverse team of back-end, full-stack, and front-end engineers across the entire product surface.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to convey technical product direction clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Transferable experience from adjacent areas such as developer platforms, infrastructure software, no-code/low-code tools, internal tooling, or applied AI products is welcome.
