Senior/Principal Product Manager-Advertiser Intelligence (Diagnostics & Keywords)
About the role
Microsoft Advertising is hiring two Product Managers to shape the next generation of advertiser intelligence experiences — one focused on Diagnostics and one focused on Keywords. Both roles sit at the intersection of AI, product strategy, and advertiser success, and we are hiring for Senior or Principal Product Managers.
Diagnostics: In this role, you will lead the next generation of Diagnostics Experiences, transforming diagnostics from static issue reporting into intelligent, action-oriented experiences that help advertisers understand, prioritize, and resolve performance issues with confidence.
Keywords: In this role, you will lead the future of Keyword Intelligence, Keyword Recommendations, and Agentic Keyword Planning. You will own the experiences that help advertisers discover customer demand, identify growth opportunities, and build high-performing campaigns — combining large-scale search intent signals, AI-powered recommendations, and agentic planning workflows to move advertisers seamlessly from business goals to campaign execution.
Both diagnostics and keywords are foundational drivers of advertiser trust, product adoption, campaign performance, and platform revenue — so these roles directly influence both customer experience and Microsoft Advertising growth at scale.
Responsibilities
Shared across both roles:
- Product Leadership: Develop and communicate the strategy and roadmap for your area — Diagnostics Experiences, or Keyword Intelligence, Recommendations, and Agentic Planning — across Microsoft’s advertising ecosystem, evolving it from identification to intelligent, action-oriented guidance that helps advertisers improve performance and achieve their goals.
- AI & Solution Definition: Determine the right solution for each experience — heuristic rules where they suffice, agentic, MCP-connected, or model-driven approaches where they add value — ensuring every experience is accurate, explainable, and actionable while upholding responsible AI principles and advertiser trust at scale.
- Metrics Ownership & Engagement: Own the success metrics for your area end to end. Decide where and how experiences surface across the advertiser journey to maximize how many advertisers engage and act efficiently, and use instrumentation and experimentation to continuously improve.
- Customer Advocacy: Represent the product to customers, deeply understand their needs, and champion those needs internally — driving experiences that improve advertiser trust, transparency, and confidence in Microsoft Advertising.
- Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership: Navigate ambiguity, make tough prioritization decisions, and balance short-term impact with long-term AI investments. Drive alignment across engineering, design, data science, Support, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Legal to deliver cohesive outcomes.
- Go-to-Market Leadership: Lead go-to-market efforts with marketing and sales, ensuring launches drive adoption, customer value, and measurable advertiser impact.
Diagnostics Focus:
- Diagnostic Depth: Go deep on advertiser and campaign data to identify the root causes of performance issues and define the checks and signals that matter. Leverage AI, including agent reasoning, to check, explain, and fix issues, ensuring every diagnostic is accurate, explainable, and actionable.
Keywords Focus:
- Keyword Opportunity & Planning: Develop a deep understanding of the diverse keyword scenarios advertisers face, and apply AI to identify new monetization and growth opportunities, generate the narratives that help advertisers and sales teams act on them, and power an agentic, multi-turn planning experience — partnering with inventory teams and reimagining keyword planning end to end
