The Naval & Oceanic Systems business unit in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Systems Engineer to join its Mechanical Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

• Perform concept development, problem solving, technical planning, design development, and hardware integration and testing.
• Translate customer requirements into system solutions while considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Work on undersea‑domain systems programs, including torpedoes, towed vehicles, UUVs, ROVs, acoustic communications, sonar, and submarine interfacing.
• Demonstrate teamwork, task prioritization, and multitasking to meet project goals.
• Analyze complex problems and develop solutions; communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or equivalent STEM) and ≥8 years of mechanical engineering experience; or MS degree with ≥6 years; or PhD with ≥4 years.
