About the role
Geosyntec is seeking a Senior Principal Water Market Leader, Food & Beverage to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and grow our water and wastewater engineering practices, particularly in the food and beverage market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategy for achieving significant market share for Geosyntec in the Water for the Food and Beverage market area.
- Engage with leading experts and business contacts to develop new process engineering opportunities.
- Support business growth associated with complex drinking water and industrial wastewater projects across the country, including full-service project delivery.
- Collaborate with project and operations staff to align Geosyntec’s full-service delivery capabilities with the needs of the food and beverage industry.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the firm’s strategic plan.
- Participate in inter-departmental and inter-branch initiatives that enhance the company’s overall performance.
- Take on staff leadership and mentoring roles, recruiting, managing, and mentoring junior staff and mid-career engineers and scientists.
- Lead the preparation of major proposals and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
- Manage client expectations, adhere to budgets, meet quality objectives, and ensure follow-on work is achieved.
- Train junior staff and mid-career engineers and scientists on technical and business skills.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in the consulting industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial and municipal clients with water supply, water treatment, and water re-use projects.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Federal and State regulations.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients and growing a practice that sustains a group of professional junior staff.
- Excellent leadership and detail-orientation skills.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
- Strong oral and technical writing skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred).
- Advanced degree (same as above) preferred.
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E.) required.

Minimum Salary: $180,995/year / Maximum Salary: $271,495/year (Oakland & Los Angeles, CA, Acton, MA)
Minimum Salary: $157,385/year / Maximum Salary: $236,080/year (Syracuse, NY)
Minimum Salary: $165,255/year / Maximum Salary: $247,885/year (Chicago, IL)
Minimum Salary: $173,125/year / Maximum Salary: $259,690/year (Washington DC, Seattle, WA)
