About the role
We are seeking a qualified engineering leader to establish and oversee technical development for the U.S. space industry. This role involves building a high-performing organization by transferring critical technologies from Japan, developing facilities, and implementing processes to support advanced and long-term competitiveness.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical leader to align engineering activities with program goals, customer needs, and quality standards.
- Develop a Safety & Mission Assurance framework to ensure product reliability and compliance.
- Identify and scale U.S. development and testing capabilities.
- Hire and mentor technical talent across disciplines.
- Standardize engineering processes to transform automotive development into space‑qualified procedures.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Approximately 10 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace or space systems development.
- Experience leading systems engineering in space programs.
- Familiarity with NASA or U.S. space industry processes.

Schedule
