Senior Principal Display Systems Engineer (Onsite)

About the role

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join the Display Products department. This role involves leading the architectural and design of display products, collaborating with internal business units, and ensuring compliance with Collins Consistent Engineering Processes and program/product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create technical approaches that align with product line foundations and customer expectations.
• Lead the architecture and design of display products, interfacing with internal business units to ensure project and organizational goals are met.
• Ensure compliance with Collins Consistent Engineering Processes and program/product requirements as detailed in design plans.
• Demonstrate technical expertise in avionics, contributing to the technology roadmap and maintaining competitive edge in the industry.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• Leadership experience in developing certified aerospace products and managing significant technical projects.
• Demonstrated architecture creation with cross-domain collaboration for pursuits.
• Knowledge of Avionics regulatory and certification requirements: TSO, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B/C.
