Principal Display Systems Engineer (Onsite)

About the role

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Display Products department. This role involves leading the architecture and design of display products, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Create technical approaches that align with product line foundations and customer expectations.
• Lead the design and development of certified flight deck displays, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project objectives and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with Collins Consistent Engineering Processes and program/product requirements.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap and maintain competitive edge through innovative display technologies.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Leadership experience in developing certified aerospace products and managing significant technical projects.
• Demonstrated architecture creation with cross-domain collaboration for pursuits.
• Knowledge of Avionics regulatory and certification requirements: TSO, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B/C.
