Senior Principal CAD/BIM Designer

Responsibilities

  • Develop Revit models, families, and contract documents
  • Lay out process mechanical piping and equipment in Revit to create enlarged plans, sections, and details
  • Coordinate with site civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, and I&C disciplines to identify and resolve design conflicts
  • Perform clash detection at submittal milestones and support clash resolution
  • Incorporate engineer and CAD/BIM Coordinator red lines and review comments into drawings and models
  • Coordinate design submittals with project discipline leads
  • Verify deliverables comply with Hazen and client CAD/BIM standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or associate degree/technical certification with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Autodesk FORMA (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC))
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is preferred
  • Experience leading and coordinating construction contract drawings for medium- and large-scale projects
  • Experience mentoring early-career designers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on Revit experience, especially with MEP design
  • Process Mechanical Revit experience
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines
  • Water or wastewater industry experience

Pay

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000. Starting pay range for this position depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
