The Senior Pricing Manager is responsible for pricing estimates and documents related to the RFP process for the Event Technology and Registration Team, with support for Account Management, Event Management, Creative, and Production services for client projects. This role follows Delivery Operations team processes and serves as an active and engaged member of the Delivery Operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Using historical and industry knowledge, provides competitive pricing estimates for all Event Technology and Registration team proposals in a timely manner.
  • Works closely with the Business Development, Account Management, and Event Technology and Registration leadership teams to produce clearly defined bids.
  • May interact with clients on QA calls to gather pricing details and event billing questions as needed.
  • Provides estimates using provided templates, ensuring pricing accuracy.
  • Works with Business Analytics to review event hours analysis, ensuring event profitability is maintained.
  • Participates in team meetings and identifies possible challenges, escalating as necessary to bring about quick resolution.
  • Maintains a fundamental understanding of agency business models and works independently as well as part of a team.
  • Understands client financial management, including revenue, expenses, and specialized reporting as it relates to pricing.
  • May consult on and manage tracking for group COGs.
  • May assist with project setup in PSA (time tracking and resourcing software).
  • Able to assist with high-level projects as needed.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of Opus operating procedures.
  • Collaborates with client financial team to ensure pricing aligns with client budgets.
  • Successfully self-manages work/life balance and takes initiative, seeking new and better ways for the team to work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in event registration, event management, or sales operations for corporate events.
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university is strongly preferred.
  • High attention to detail and ability to operate well in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines.
  • Adaptable to multiple tool suites (e.g., Microsoft, Google, Slack, Zoom, Monday.com, file shares). G Suite experience is preferred (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Displays strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills and exceptional professional integrity.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and email etiquette.
  • Proven ability to interact and present to senior-level employees and executive staff.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and effectively perform within tight time constraints.
  • Successfully perform in high-stress, fast-paced environments, accepting changes with short notice and tolerating frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
  • Works cooperatively with other employees, vendors, and clients.
  • Portrays professional presence through superior communication, presentation, promptness, and appearance.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist colleagues with projects and tasks outside of job requirements.

  • Ability to create, monitor, and understand budgets, debits, credits, and reconciliation.
  • Reasoning skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay

The starting salary for this role is between $77,000 and $90,000. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Schedule

Travel Requirements: less than 5% annually, which could be domestic and international.
