Senior Pricing Analyst

About the Role

This position involves analyzing RFPs/RFQs, contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions, and representations and certifications to ensure proposal compliance. You will generate detailed pricing proposals aligned with the firm's pricing strategy and develop cost proposal schedules, cost models, and narratives using various estimating techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFPs/RFQs, contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and certifications for proposal compliance.
• Generate detailed pricing proposals consistent with the firm’s pricing strategy.
• Develop cost proposal schedules, cost models, and narratives using estimating techniques (e.g., historical data, statistical methods).
• Apply estimating techniques and pricing strategies for government contracting vehicles: Time and Material (T&M), Cost Reimbursable, and Fixed Price.
• Review staffing solutions and/or prepare Basis of Estimate (BOE) for accuracy and compliance with solicitation requirements.
• Manage distribution of pricing data calls to subcontractors and respond to pricing data calls from prime contractors.
• Assess the operational viability of cost assumptions and refine them as needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, macros, "if statements") and Microsoft Word.
• Present complex information in a succinct and comprehensive manner.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in cost proposal development for U.S. government contract types.
• Understanding of RFP/RFQ analysis, including terms, conditions, requirements, and evaluation factors impacting pricing strategy.
• Experience with government customer proposal requirements and strong customer-focused interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and quantitative analysis skills.
• Bachelor’s degree; four years of additional professional experience may substitute for the degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Develop and implement new pricing strategy techniques to prepare profitable, winning proposals.
• Influence and drive engagement teams' proposal pricing strategy.
• Oversee preparation and evaluation of financial information for budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and cost control of government contracts.
• Prepare proposal cost volumes, including pricing schedules and estimating methodology to support price reasonableness and realism.
• Lead analysis of subcontractor proposals for reasonableness per FAR subpart 15.4 and firm policies.
• Collaborate with proposal pursuit teams, participate in kick-off meetings, and lead pricing strategy discussions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000–$141,000. Compensation decisions depend on skill sets, experience, training, security clearances, licensure, certifications, and business needs.
